Volunteers set up for 15th anniversary of SculptureWalk

Dozens of volunteers set up for the SculptureWalk. Jeff Hanson, SculptureWalk ambassador, says it is a bitter-sweet day for them.

“We’re saying goodbye to so many sculptures that everybody falls in love with, one or the other,” he said. “So, in a way it’s sad, but at the same time, it’s making way for another great expedition of sculptures.”

This year marks the 15th anniversary of the exhibit, and one volunteer has helped for many years. Regan Smith has been volunteering for the SculptureWalk for fourteen years and has set the stage for exhibitions downtown and at the University of Sioux Falls.

“You get to meet artists from all around the country, and they’re great people,” he said. “You get to learn a lot about their work and their passion.”…
