A brand new SculptureWalk Visitor Center is now open at the Washington Pavilion.
The center, located on the second floor outside the Visual Arts Center, features a large-scale map of the sculpture route, brochures, video, artwork and more.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to bridge the Washington Pavilion and the SculptureWalk in our shared goal of offering art to the public,” said Darrin Smith, president of the Washington Pavilion, in a press release Wednesday. “It’s a natural connection for our patrons to enjoy our artwork and exhibitions as well as explore the sculptures located throughout downtown Sioux Falls.”
The first and last sculptures on the route are located near the Pavilion which gives SculptureWalk visitors an opportunity to start and end at the new visitor center.
SculptureWalk installed 57 new pieces in downtown Sioux Falls in early May. An estimated 300,000 visitors enjoy viewing these artworks each year…
