Instagram-inspired art leads maker into jewelry business

Amanda Legg’s Instagram feed led her into a side business.

After stumbling onto electroformed jewelry, a process that creates metal jewelry out of natural objects, she started saving up for the equipment and scouring the internet to learn more.

That was about three years ago.

Legg is now the owner of Sticks Stones & Bones – a nod to the materials she uses in her work – and sells online as well as at some events.

Her jewelry will be for sale at Saturday’s 605 Made Night Market in the parking lot of Cherapa Place from 4 to 10 p.m.

“I did it last year, and it was so much fun,” she said. “I just wanted to get into a show, and they allowed me some space.”…
