SIOUX FALLS, S.D.-Five locations and five hours to sketch. That’s the challenge 21 artists took on today in Downtown Sioux Falls.

The South Dakota Artist Alliance held their 3rd annual Sketch Crawl. It’s an opportunity for artists to test their artistic abilities while having fun.

The public is also able to get involved.  People could use a map to find the artists and watch them create their masterpieces.

Artists put their work on display after the crawl for the public to view and purchase.

Organizers say it’s important to have events like this to expose more people to art.

“Part of our mission is community involvement and celebrating the arts and this kind of encompasses the whole concept of our mission,” said Organizer, Debra Kroger.

There’s a variety of other artist events held throughout the year by the South Dakota Artist Alliance.” Click here: http://www.sdartists.net to learn how to get involved…
